Ministère de Margaret Beekee

I serve in Orlando as an International Staff Liaison, helping to facilitate the placement process for our US staff desiring to serve overseas. I am originally from Trinidad and Tobago and served in Trinidad and Tobago, Brazil and the Caribbean prior to being in Orlando. It is my sincere desire to see people come to know the Lord, honor Him and influence others. I so distinctly remember the conversion of an international student at the University of Central Florida (UCF). We had shown the Jesus Film and were discussing it in small groups. One of the guys in our group said that he believed everything about Jesus in the movie was true, but not true for him. We saw him wrestling with this and after a while, I sensed that I should talk to him about faith and explained that God has given to each person a measure of faith and that the object of our faith is important. That even if our faith is small, we can place it in God who is the most worthy object for faith. He then said, ???If you say my small amount of faith is enough then I would like to accept Jesus.??? It was such an amazing experience - even though I have seen many people come to know the Lord, sharing with someone who had no concept of Jesus and seeing him place his faith in Jesus for salvation was miraculous. This is also the privilege that our international staff and interns experience as they serve overseas and I am so happy to be a part of their international placement process.
